BINARY SYSTEM

last post we spoke about hardware ,you should

 check it if you haven't

this time our post is about binary System and how computer understands our language 

 computers only understands electrical signals , those signals are like an on & off switch ,on represents (1) and off represents (0)

we use decimal numbers ,so each decimal number or character is turned into different  arrangement of ons (1) and offs(0) 

each signal is called a bit , bit stands for : binary digits 

a larger unit called byte =8 bits , byte stands for:  binary term 

when writing a binary number we consider each bit as a line,every line has a value of it's own like (1,2,4,8,16)and each line is doubled than the one before that's because Binary number's base is (2)

for the computer to understand characters , it uses ASCI Code, this code gives a number that converts into a byte when in binary to each letter

last thing we have is digital storage units 

bit is the smallest unit , then byte =8 bits , kilobytes =1024 bytes ,megabyte=1024 kilobytes , etc
